The only thing I don't like about this card is the dread effect is slightly weaker, it has to be able to target creatures to kill them. But I had to think long and hard to find any criticism. As long as you have discard outlet, this card is a black Soul Snare that recurs!
ReplyDeleteYes, there's drawbacks: Pro-Black, Shroud and you have to take the damage not to mention that it's a required trigger, not a may trigger. Occasionally you'll want to draw something else.
ReplyDeleteWhen you're playing out Mesmeric Orb, there's some value there, Orb + Monolith tricks abound.
And he just rocks the Zombie flavour!
Hells yes, this guy rocks! Flavor-wise, it's just badass that WotC gave it an Egyptian Mummy concept. But I already have plans to put this into my Damia deck as a Buried Alive target along with Genesis and whatever else I need.
